Eating healthy is important for a variety of reasons.  However, most students seem to gravitate to unhealthy options.  Read the article Lunch Choices.

I agree with the fact that kids do tend to eat less healthy foods. I think that they should have more healthy foods in the cafeteria. I would help solve the problem.

I have though of that my whole life. There are recipes for carrot and tomato brownies. Its basically when you almost make the batter of the brownies the same way except you take the unhealthy thing(s) out and replace them with good healthy things.

i agree with taking out the soda machines.if kids only drink soda they don't get any brain food and that wont help them in class.

I agree with you but what will the concession workers put in instead of (fat),unhealthy food?

I liked the part about taking out the soda machines because it was not good that students were just drinking one soda and not having anything for lunch. I didn't like the part were the students could bring cupcakes for birthdays and that the teachers could not give the students candy.

I agree that we need to eat healthier, but a treat every once in a while would be nice.

To make kids want to them maybe make them be more appealing and not look "gross".

Kids are not eating a lot of healthy foods. To make kids make healther choices is to put more healthy choices on the plate and take away all the junk food ,but still have some junk food but a lot of healthy things.

I kinda agree and disagree kids should eat junk food like once a month not all the time.

Once a mounth! You could afford unhealthy food about once a week. (It also depends on how unhealthy the food is.)

I agree with the experiment because teachers are always telling us to set a good example for the little kids so if we start eating healthy foods we can probably get the younger generations to start eating healthier foods.(I put shame on my self though because I LOVE eating apples with PEANUT BUTTER)!

I think that it was definitely a good idea to have the big kids set an example for the little kids because the little kids would of course want to be like the big kids. I think it was also a good idea to soup up the vending machines by making them healthier. I believe that it would be a good idea to put a few slightly less healthy items in the vending machines and charge higher prices for the unhealthy items, which might motivate kids to go for the healthier options. Another way to help kids be healthier might be to have rules about what you can and can't bring from home in your packed lunch. For example, it could be a rule that no sodas are allowed during lunchtime.

Now I disagree with you about the rule thing. Your parents can set those rules but not the school. Plus, you can bring one once in a while.

I agree with Gracie but also have something to add in. 1 I agree with her on the unhealthy foods thing because everything is good in moderation. But it would be better to be pretty much close to no junk food at all.

i agree and disagree with eating healthy food yes there should be like i thing of junk food a week or something like that but make it healthy junkfood like fruit chips because i brought them to school one day and everyone wanted them so i think i had an influence on people to eat healthy junk food or they just had already eaten it before

an idea i have is to even out the foods just make it look like there is more junk food on the trays and less healthy food when it is really the other way around for instance give out like Fit&Active S'mores or have chocolate granola bars coated in a lowfat chocolate and have like 1 package of smiles on their tray when 2/3 of those are actually healthy for you.

I do agree with the fact that kids at the school aren't eating very healthy and we need to change that. When kids eat too much it's hard to consentrate on your work, which can affect your grade.
I like the idea of kids putting good influences on their friends, but I think another thing we could do is hand out fruit during tutorial and make sure they eat it. Another idea is to sell caramel and apples in the vending machine, that way it may look more appetizing.

i agree with the school that they took out the soda machine so kids arent over there all the time thats the reason kids gain pounds and most times dont lose it.teahers sould whatch kids and make them at least eat one portion of their veggies and one portion of their fruit and schools should take chocolate milk away from all schools and more fruits and veggies so kids aren't obese.schools should take the vending machines and remove them from schools they should put like a fruits and veggie vending machine and put them in every school.thank you

I agree with how they had the older kids eat healthy in front of the younger kids, but that might not work on some children. I disagree with taking the vending machines completly.

One thing I would do is bring my own lunch and always have at least a fruit that I like paked in it.Also,I'd encourage people to eat healthy foods.
